Centerstage!

We have had a great start to our 2023-2024 robotics season! Here are some reflections about Centerstage so far from new team members.

Ryan:

At first, I was a little nervous about joining a team full of juniors and people I didn't know. But as time went on, I was pleasantly surprised as I felt that I was part of the team. The team has been very fun and welcoming, and I have learned a lot. Kai has taught me how to wire, and Nate has taught me the general basis of how the code works for moving the robot. I have also learned how the robot works and what the mechanics are. Overall, I have greatly enjoyed my time on the team and look forward to going to the tournaments and working with the team!

Julian:

As a new member of our FTC (First Tech Challenge) team, my journey into the world of programming has been both exciting and enlightening. In a relatively short span of time, I have absorbed a wealth of knowledge related to Java and robotics. Navigating the intricate terrain of Android Studio and Road Runner, I've come to understand the intricacies of these essential tools. I've also delved into concepts like enumerators and explored the functionalities of our robot's subsystems, including the fascinating paper airplane launcher, versatile arm, and efficient outtake mechanism. The hands-on experience in the field of robotics has been nothing short of incredible, from attending scrimmages to immersing myself in our supportive community. It's heartening to find a community that is not only inviting but also genuinely positive and eager to support one another, making my journey into the world of FTC truly enjoyable.

Stay tuned for exciting updates and future blog posts!
